Varsity boys basketball had a successful win against Haslet Eaton High School on Tuesday, Dec 1st at 6 p.m. at our home gym. The score at halftime was 33-16, with an end score of 54-28.

The boys have a good start in their pre-district season with a record of 3-0.

“So far we’re doing good at offensive boards,” Isaac Rangel (11) said. “But we need to work on keeping our energy up as a team. Tonight we struggled with keeping them off the glass.”

After a steady first half, the team slowed down in the third quarter and struggled with layups and free throws, but they came together and solved it.

“We started to fly around on defense and went as hard as we could,” Seth Golden (11) said. “The lid came off the basket and our shots started going in again.”

However, the team agrees they didn’t play to their fullest ability.

“I think we just had a bad offensive and defensive night,” Hunter McGee (10) said. “But we prevailed and got the victory.”
