A shrill whistle sounded throughout the gym, signaling for the start of the first quarter. Players darted back and forth as the crowd cheers when a point is made.

The crowd ecstatic with the major lead the team has gained and stomping their feet and clapping their hands to a cheer led by the cheerleaders on the sidelines.

“My favorite moment was when I had just come into the game and we ran the in-bounds play and Kansas; it was a pick-and-roll and Malachi threw me the ball and I pivoted real quick.”

With a final score of 66-42 the players congratulate each other as they jog off the court to the sidelines where with the crowd still clapping.

“It was a really fun experience because it was the first tournament we’ve played.”
