Students raise there phone lights to Natalie Woods handwritten song during the Genius Week assembly. Along with writing and composing her on song she also played guitar and sang. “It was really amazing how she was able sing and play guitar, let alone write her own song.” said Marisa Chapa (9)

Sophomore and Freshmen play a game of Hacky sack during Heritage Hoopla Day. Jumping and passing it for as long as possible. “I liked playing Hacky Sack the best because we couldn’t go outside so this was as close as we could get to soccer.” said Kayla Aston (9)

Students gather to play cards during Hoopla. Playing different games and the two winnning people playing against each other. “I loved playing cards, it was a lot more fun then it actually sounds.” Faith Lee (9)

A Flashmob of teachers erupts after at the end of the morning assembly. Dancing in sync they rally the students for Heritage Hoopla Day. “It was hilarious to see all the teachers have a flashmob,” Josh Windham (9)

Coaches face off against the Freshmen boys dodgeball team. Outnumbered the coaches prevailed for a time before being beat. “I loved watching dodgeball, it was fun to see everyone compete,” Katey Halcomb (9) said.

A Hacky Sack game gets intense with few remaining players. On the fourth game it still holds it’s appeal to many students. “It was really fun because you had some people that were really good and others that have never played.” said Mark Alber (9)

Students waiting for Mrs. Tiption to announce the winner of the “Kiss the Pig” contest and the beginning of Heritage Hoopla Day. The second ever Heritage Hoopla Day with almost a full school. “I was excited for Hoopla Day because I was ready to hang out with my friends and just relax.” said Chelsea Wilson (9)

Students watch as Ben Buentello the teacher that raised the most money among students, leans in to kiss the pig. Money raised for the “Kiss the Pig” contest will go towards “It was really funny to watch Coach Buentello kiss a pig.” said Macy Bell (9)
