Hallandale Beach, FL — A night out at a South Florida club allegedly turned into a nearly $100,000 theft after a woman met a man, went home with him and was accused of drugging him before his prized Rolex disappeared, according to police and court records.
The woman, identified as 32-year-old Lynda Mae Crouse, was arrested after investigators linked her to an April 12 encounter at the Carousel Club in Hallandale Beach.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Crouse allegedly spoke with the unidentified man around midnight while they were at the club. The two exchanged Instagram accounts before going their separate ways.
The man later sent an Uber to Crouse’s home at about 1:20 a.m., bringing her to his residence, police said. What happened after they arrived would eventually lead to a criminal investigation.
Man suddenly feels “funny” and extremely tired
According to the affidavit, Crouse and the man had several alcoholic drinks together in his living room.
At one point, the man went into his bedroom to change clothes. While there, he suddenly began feeling “funny” and “extremely tired,” according to the court document.
While Crouse was alone in the living room, the man said he heard a distinctive “clapping sound.”
When he returned to the living room, he reportedly noticed that Crouse was “acting different.” The woman then abruptly said she was going home.
Crouse left the residence shortly afterward. Within minutes, the man fell asleep, according to the affidavit.
Nearly $100,000 Rolex discovered missing
When the man woke up several hours later, he still felt strange, according to police. He then remembered the unusual sound he had heard earlier and went to check his Rolex box in the living room.
The watch was gone. The missing timepiece was described as a gold 40 mm diamond-encrusted Rolex Presidential, one of the most valuable possessions involved in the case. The man later provided police with an appraisal that valued the Rolex at $98,400.
Investigators also received an identification from the alleged victim, who picked Crouse from a photo lineup, according to the affidavit.
Police allege similar incidents
The Hallandale Beach case was not the only incident investigators have associated with Crouse. According to the probable cause affidavit, she is accused of using a similar alleged scheme at least four other times in Miami-Dade County, with police alleging that victims were drugged before valuables were taken.
Those allegations were referenced by investigators as they built the Broward County case stemming from the April encounter.
The allegations remain accusations, and the criminal case will proceed through the court system.

Months later, on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, Seminole police arrested her before she was taken to the Broward County Jail, according to authorities.
She was charged with second-degree grand theft, a felony.
Crouse was released the following day after posting a $2,500 bond. The case now centers on the alleged theft of the expensive Rolex and the circumstances surrounding the man’s sudden illness and subsequent loss of consciousness.
The investigation and court proceedings could provide additional details about what happened inside the residence and whether investigators will pursue further charges connected to the other alleged incidents.
