On October 23, the 54-year-old actor, Mathew Perry was found dead in a hot tub by his assistant.
When the fire department arrived they pronounced him dead from drowning. The Los Angeles Police are further investigating his death, but suspect that there was no foul play involved.
Perry had been battling a drug addiction for decades. The addiction was at its worse while he was filming the show “Friends.” However, Perry had been sober for 18 months before his death, and had even quit smoking recently.
Before his death, he had spent around nine million dollars on rehabilitation, so that he could make a better life for himself. Police didn’t find any fentanyl or meth in his system, but it can take up to six months to know if any other drugs were involved.
Before Perry died, his loved ones said that he was very happy and was doing great when they last saw each other, and that his death was incredibly unexpected. Mathew Perry has made a huge impact on the film industry, and will be missed by many.
