Brooklyn, New York — A package thief walked into a Brooklyn residential building and allegedly walked out with three valuable sports cards worth about $17,400, including rare basketball cards featuring late NBA star Kobe Bryant, according to police.
The theft happened Monday afternoon after the suspect entered a building near West End Avenue and Shore Boulevard around 2 p.m., police said. The cards were reportedly inside multiple packages left in the building’s mail area.

Thief Allegedly Walked Away With $17K in Cards

Surveillance Camera Captured the Suspect

The suspect was dressed casually, wearing an orange baseball cap, a sleeveless Brooklyn Brewery T-shirt, camouflage shorts and flip-flops.
According to police sources, the man appeared to be gleefully smiling while carrying the packages away. He then left the building on foot.
