LACONIA, N.H. — A Saturday night motorcycle crash in Laconia has left three people dead and another rider fighting for their life after two motorcycles apparently collided head-on along Route 3 near Weirs Beach.
The crash happened just before 11 p.m. in the area of the Looney Bin Bar and Grill, according to Laconia Police Chief Matthew Canfield.
Two motorcycles carrying a total of four riders were involved in the collision. When emergency responders arrived, three of the motorcyclists were pronounced dead at the scene.
The fourth rider was seriously hurt and suffered life-threatening injuries. Police have not released that person’s identity.
The deadly crash happened during a busy weekend in Weirs Beach, where Biketemberfest was taking place, adding another layer of attention to the incident.
Three Riders Identified After Crash
Authorities identified the three people who died as 28-year-old Cameron Mosher of Dennis, Massachusetts; 32-year-old Miles Collette of Gilford, New Hampshire; and 33-year-old Jeanine Fereshetian of Laconia.
The victims came from both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with one of those killed being a local Laconia resident.
Police have not said which person was operating each motorcycle. Investigators are still working to establish exactly how the two motorcycles ended up on a collision course.
Based on the preliminary information released by police, the motorcycles appear to have crashed head-on into each other.
The force of the collision resulted in multiple fatalities and left another person critically injured.
Police Investigate Speed and Impairment
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Chief Canfield said investigators are examining whether speed or impairment may have contributed to the collision. Authorities have not yet determined what factors caused the motorcycles to collide.
With the investigation ongoing, police have not provided additional details about the moments immediately before the crash.
The identity of the injured rider has also not been released, and officials have not provided further information about that person’s condition beyond describing the injuries as life-threatening.
Investigators will likely examine the roadway, motorcycle positions and other available evidence as they work to reconstruct what happened.
Crash Happened During Biketemberfest Weekend
The collision occurred during Biketemberfest in Weirs Beach, a weekend-long block party that runs from Friday through Sunday and brings motorcycle enthusiasts and visitors to the area.
Because of the timing, the event naturally became part of the conversation surrounding the crash.
However, Canfield emphasized that there is nothing currently indicating a direct connection between Biketemberfest and the collision.
The crash instead remains an individual incident under investigation, with police focused on determining the circumstances that led the two motorcycles to collide.

Authorities have not suggested that the event itself caused or contributed to the deadly crash.
Route 3 Area Has Seen Serious Crash Before
The location of Saturday night’s crash is also close to the scene of another serious Laconia collision.
In 2023, a three-car crash in the area injured more than a dozen people. That incident became particularly alarming when one of the vehicles crashed into the Looney Bin Bar and Grill while patrons were inside.
The latest motorcycle crash occurred in the same general area, again bringing emergency crews to a busy section of Weirs Beach.
Laconia is located in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region, roughly 95 miles north of Boston. The community and surrounding Weirs Beach area can become especially busy during major summer events.
For now, investigators are continuing to piece together the circumstances of the fatal collision. Three families are mourning their loved ones, while the fourth rider remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
