The varsity volleyball team took a field trip to see the Rangers play on Sunday, Sept. 20 for a team bonding day. The girls wanted to do a fun activity together to get closer for the start of district. Thanks to the parent of Julia Valdez (10) who works for the Rangers, the girls were able to get tickets to the event and even good seats.

“I was happy to help the team have a day of fun,” parent Don Kalkstein said.

Many of the girls are big Rangers fans and were grateful to get the opportunity.

“Going to the game was super fun,” Kenzie Thorne (11) said. “I feel like going and hanging out with all the girls not only brought us together as teammates, but it brought us together as sisters as well.”

Head volleyball Coach Sarah Hallum agreed that being able to go and support the Texas Rangers as a team was a great idea.

Hallum said, “This brought us together even more with a lot of smiles and an overall memorable time.”
