It’s the final countdown! In about two weeks it will be Easter and we all know what that means: Easter candy. That’s right, during the next few weeks stores will be stocked with tasty treats that only come around once a year. Even if you don’t celebrate Easter, you have to at least appreciate the candy involved. After extensive research (I can’t promise that chocolate bunnies weren’t hurt during the trials), I have taken eight of the most popular candies and chocolates that you can purchase around Easter and ranked them below:

8. Jelly Beans

Let’s face it, standard jelly beans aren’t all that great. Sure, they come in a variety of flavors so that everyone can find one that they like, but that just means that there’s more room for error. No two jelly beans may taste the same, but a lot have a waxy texture and an aftertaste that sticks around for a while. Sorry jelly beans, but we all know that you deserve the bottom spot.

7. Easter M&Ms

I don’t really know what the difference between normal M&Ms and these colorful candies are, but that doesn’t mean that the taste is any less great. Who doesn’t love chocolate covered in a pretty pastel shell? Compared to the other candies on this list, M&Ms deserve their spot at second-to-last, but they’re still pretty good.

6. Cadbury Mini Eggs

Okay, hear me out. Not only are these mini eggs small enough that you can eat an entire handful without feeling guilty about it, but they are also delicious. They’re basically like the Easter M&Ms, but a step above in that they taste better and are more original.

5. Chocolate Bunny

Whether they’re milk chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate, or any flavor in between, you can’t go wrong with a chocolate bunny. The hollow bunnies are great if you don’t want to be overloaded with chocolate, and the filled ones are a chocolate lover’s dream.

4. Starburst Jelly Beans

While I said earlier that ordinary jelly beans aren’t the best, Starburst jelly beans are the exception. I like jelly beans a decent amount, but Starburst takes the classic candy to the next level. The texture is amazing and the many flavors all taste wonderful. They’re not waxy and in fact, are the perfect balance of fruity and sweet.

3. Cadbury Creme Egg

Chocolate? Check. Delicious inner creme? Check. Two thumbs up? Double-check. Compared to the other chocolate Easter products on this list, Cadbury’s Creme Eggs are definitely up there in terms of sweet taste and chocolatey goodness. These eggs are small enough that they don’t overload your senses while still packing a ton of flavor and Easter fun.

2. Peeps

No one can deny the sugary cuteness that is Peeps. The bunny-shaped marshmallows covered in sugar are an Easter classic and rightfully so. While some claim that the taste isn’t their favorite, these marshmallows make up for it in their shape and texture. Everyone, from adults to little kids, loves Peeps and they rightfully deserve their place at number two.

1.Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg

Coming in at number one are the peanut butter eggs that everyone loves. No one can resist the perfect blend of peanut butter and chocolate that set Reese’s apart. They’re soft, sweet, and are the perfect bite-size. I don’t think there are any better words to describe a Reese’s egg other than perfect.

Trust me when I say that you need to head out and try these delicious Easter candies before they’re gone. I’m confident in my rankings, but the only way to know if I’m right is to try them yourself. Go for it and have fun snacking on these tasty treats!
