With the soccer season in full-swing, the girls’ varsity team is busy with tournaments, games, and hours of practice to put in every week. Despite the cold, the girls practice tirelessly, running drills and going over the fundamentals in order to bring their A-game every week. After making it to the finals at last week’s tournament, the girls are determined to make it past the finals and win the tournament against Paris.

“We tried our best. I think if anything we need to work on meshing more as a team,” said Leah Chancey (9).

The team is working towards getting better at passing and running formations in order to give 100% every game.

“I think we’re doing well. I’m excited about our upcoming tournament because I wasn’t able to be there for the last one so it will be fun to hang out on the bus with friends. It’s always a great team bonding thing,” said Katie Greer (11).

With still a lot of the season left, the Varsity girls soccer team is ready to tackle the upcoming tournaments and games with vigor.

“I’m ready for a good season, I hope we’ll continue to develop our skills as a team and as individual players.” said Kayla Aston (10)
