The crowd starts to roar as our girls junior varsity team makes their way onto the court. On Tuesday, December 6th our JV girls basketball team faced off with the Benbrook Lady Wildcats in the Big gym and swept them from under their feet, taking a win 67-4.

Our JV players were hyped up about this game, and they had been looking forward to playing a newer team just like ours. They are determined to be the best of the new schools in our area, and so far they’ve accomplished exactly that. With a seven game winning streak, the JV team is leading the basketball program.

“I think tonight’s game went Great we got a chance to run a lot of plays right,” Gabby Stripling (9) said. “We worked on a lot of harder plays and some technique.”

The Lady Jaguars saw this as an easy win. According to some players on the the team it was almost effortless for them. Benbrook didn’t put up much of a fight against our fearless Lady Jags. We had unbreakable defense and speedy offense; there was no stopping us.

“I personally don’t think Benbrook was a worthy opponent of our team at all,” Bryann McDaniel (9) said. “We need something more challenging to make our team better and make us have to work a little more for the win.”

Benbrook was a new school to our Lady Jaguars and had to work extremely hard for the 4 points they did score.

“We got yet another dub tonight it was a good game they were a new school kinda like us,” Janae Sanders (11) said. “They didn’t really know how to work as a team just yet but still they did really good.”
