The gym is reduced to a mainly pink blur of color as the whole school cheers for the dancers and their enthusiastic, and high energy dance routine.

“For this Pink Out, we had pink poms, we wore pink shirts, and we did a totally different dance, we’re doing a hip-hop type dance which we don’t usually do,” said Annabel Gaul (10).

The cheerleaders then take the floor with many flips and twists punctuated by the oohs and aahs of the crowd.

They finish by tossing two girls into the air and and catching them with ease.

Players charge out unto the gym floor, breaking through the paper banner to the cheers of the students.

Dubbed “hype-master” Rodger Brant (12) steps out unto the floor,  yelling into the mic a chant to that has the whole school up on their feet shouting back with spirit.

“Hey, GO JAGUARS” echoes  through the gym punctuated by the the cheerleaders pom poms punching the air with each chant. Each grade takes turns yelling their words as loudly as possible and stomping hard on the bleachers.

The announcer ends the rally by awarding the excited Juniors the most spirited and reminding everyone to attend the game tonight in support for the team.

“The pep rally’s are honestly the best because, I get to dress up then later go to the game,” said Tori Kelly (10).
