The hallways buzz with chatter as students make their way down to the gym for the very first pep rally of the year. Freshman excited for their first high school pep rally, take in the surroundings from among the bleachers. Players await for their que for them to enter the gym for recognition. Even many parents are attending the rally, cheering on the school.

The mic sounds from inside and those still outside file into the gym. Students sit laughing and talking wearing spirit-wear and shaking noisemakers, as the cheerleaders and dancers get ready for their routines.

“I love getting to be crazy with my friends, and just enjoy the moment.” said Abigail Hendrix (12). 

With the football season having just begun with a spectacular 77-7 win against the Bobcats, the players are in high spirits and pumped for the rest of the season.

“It’s my senior year and my teammates are my favorite part of football, being with them, going to games with them, is just awesome for me.” said Jack Ellis (12).
